Posted on Christmans Eve, 2004. It's Christmas time, and someone has to be a wise-ass about it. Depicted in the cartoon are, of course, the Three Kings, the Magi, the Wise Men. I read about Henry Wadsworth Longfellow writing the poem about peace on earth, good will to men, and nearly went on to another subject because of his hopefulness. He wrote it during the Civil War and there were some dark stanzas I hadn't known before. Ultimately, he wrote that peace and good will would win out. However, they didn't.
